Donate to the PAWS Disaster Relief Fund to provide critical medical care—including medicine, vaccines, spay/neuter procedures—for pets affected by the July 4 flash floods in the Texas Hill Country.
BACKGROUND
Devastating flash floods swept through the Texas Hill Country on July 4, upending the lives of hundreds of families and countless homeless animals. PAWS Chicago reached out to Austin Pets Alive! to see how we can help.
On July 16, PAWS will rescue dozens of dogs and cats from the flooding region and transport them to the Nan and Wayne Kocourek Medical Center in Chicago, where the pets will receive medical treatment and the care they need to become adoption-ready at the Lincoln Park Adoption Center. These pets were already in shelters before the flood hit—by transporting these animals, PAWS will free up critical space for animals impacted by the flooding.
