Every pet who comes to our Lincoln Park Adoption Center gets more than a second chance—they get a place where they are safe, healthy, and cared for while they wait for a loving home.

After 19 years of service, the HVAC system at our Lincoln Park Adoption Center must be replaced. Air quality is critical in a shelter environment, and at PAWS, our systems provide 100% fresh air and more than 15 air exchanges per hour to ensure any illness will not spread. But this robust system’s useful life is up and it has been failing us—in very hot and very cold weather, we must move animals or bring in temporary units to ensure a safe environment for all. Your gift will enable us to replace this system and ensure clean air, stable temperatures during extreme weather, and a healthier environment for vulnerable dogs and cats while they wait for their families.

A generous donor has provided a $35,000 matching gift in honor of their beloved cats, Buddy and Frankie, meaning every dollar you give today through August 12 will be matched dollar for dollar to help complete this critical project.
